Cyprien, a Luxembourg-born cellist, began playing at four and earned his Master’s at the Paris Conservatory under Prof. Jérôme Pernoo, followed by postgraduate studies with Clemens Hagen and Lionel Cottet. He has participated in masterclasses with renowned cellists like Frans Helmerson, Daniel Müller-Schott and Gary Hoffman. Since his 2017 debut with the Orchestre Philharmonique de Luxembourg, he has performed at major venues and festivals across Europe. Cyprien has won multiple international competitions, including the 2024 Triomphe de l’Art. A dedicated chamber musician and former member of the Cervin Quartet, he has collaborated with distinguished artists. His performances have been praised by publications such as The Strad, Pizzicato Magazine and the Violin Channel. He plays a Giovanni Cavani cello, on loan from the Maggini Foundation.
